The disclosure was made by Tom McAlpin, Virgin’s president and chief executive, on stage at CLIA conference in Southampton.
Virgin group founder Sir Richard Branson also made a surprise appearance on stage alongside McAlpin.
In 2020, the 2,770-passenger Scarlet Lady will make its debut sailing from Miami to the Caribbean. The adult-only, Rebellious Lux vessel will also be coming to the UK next March as the ship makes its was to the US.
McAlpin said: “We are going to take delivery of Scarlet Lady in Genoa, and we will take her to the UK.”
“This is a really important market for us and our brand is really strong here. The travel agent community is really strong here and we want to showcase her.
“We will certainly invite a lot of our First Mates [travel agents] to come and see the ship and have some fun. We will do that depending on how well you are booking and registering them and their engagement.”
